Since I don't know you or what your goals or motivation is, I will try to cover all
aspects of making a living with affiliate type programs online.
The first question is how to
choose the right affiliate program?
I feel there are some key
ingredients, which are:
1. How long have they been in
business? Start ups are fine but a caveat is in order. Contact
mgmt and ask some questions of their goals, customer service
policy and how they promote.
2. What is the product or
service? Is it something you would want to own or use?
3. How much support do they
offer in your promotional efforts? Pre-written ads, banners,
training resources and/or forum?
Two places I look for
affiliate programs that have 'niche' products that will be in demand and
have a good conversion ratio (visitors to sales), is Commission
Junction and Clickbank.
If you
would like to read about Clickbank and inside secrets to making their
program work for you in making affiliate sales, download Clickbank Super
Tips.
CJ has a ton of affiliates
and it's free to join. It is a little confusing to navigate through at first,
but stick it out and read the directions. The best part of CJ is the
sales data for each affiliate program, that is they show what the average
conversion is for each product. So you can pick those with high
sales conversions.
Clickbank has 1,000's of
information product affiliates. Mostly ebooks that offer the highest
commissions...usually 50%. Information products are the easiest to sell as
there is no physical delivery, no inventory and fast payouts.
