How to Make More Money Online by Improving What You've Got

If you're someone who makes money online, particularly if it's your primary method of income (i.e. it's not just something you do in your spare time for a bit of extra cash) than you might like to think of yourself as an entrepreneur. If this is the case (and it probably is) than you'll know that most good entrepreneurs are always looking for opportunities to make more money either by generating new income streams or by increasing the revenue they are generating from income streams that they have already set up. The latter option is clearly the easier to do (especially when making money online) and there is one key thing that you should be doing in order to get more traffic to your site.

Since most people who earn a living online do so by having what you might call 'online real estate', let's first assume that this is how you earn your keep. You have probably targeted one or more keywords that you wish to rank for in the search engines, and you are most likely ranking somewhere on the first page (unless you've chosen an extremely competitive niche).

Unless you're ranking number one, your first order of business should be to build more links to your site. So how do you do this? Most people will tell you to write comments on blogs and link to your site via the comment. This isn't a bad way of doing things, but by far the most successful way that I've found is writing articles and publishing them on sites (such as Ezine). These kind of links provide far more authority than blog comments, and will help you rank better, faster.
